Artem Vasyuchkov was unusual boy. He practiced ballroom dancing in his native city Ufa. He was the soul of the every party. “Especially he got on well with girls, young ladies and women. He was a real artist”, said his mother with a smile. Studying was not difficult for him too. He liked all school subjects.

But not everyone knows that the boy has rare congenital disease Phenylketonuria. Phenylketonuria is an inborn error of metabolism involving impaired metabolism of the amino acid phenylalanine. But the disease doesn’t surface, if you keep special diet.

“We have been trying to raise our son since birth right, so he doesn’t feel himself unhappy. He used to keep diet and didn’t have any problems with it”, said the boy’s mother.

Two and a half years ago parents of the boy decided to send him to music school. He started to play the violin. Parents couldn’t imagine that it would change the boy’s life entirely. He has quickly learned how to play. “There were no disgusting voices. He started to play pleasant melodies almost at once”, remembered the boy’s parents.

Artem is considered one of the most talented boys in Ufa. He every time takes first and second places in competitions. His photo is posted in a place of honor in the Musical school №1 n.a. Nariman Sabitov. Upon completing grade four, the specialized school is ready to accept him without passing exams.

“Bicycle” against “Ferrari”

Artem Vasyuchkov has regular classes with teacher at musical school and play violin at home and he can’t imagine his life without it. “We need good violin, but it costs too much for us”, requested the boy’s parents to the charity fund “Children of Russia”. According to relatives of Artem, they didn’t expect anything. But our fund helped them and bought handmade violin and delivered it to Ufa.

“We have been helping children thorough the country for 17 years. And exactly we drawed attention to this talented boy and helped him”, said Marina Panfilova, the Deputy Director of the charity fund “Children of Russia”. “This boy is worthy of respect. And we believed that this new instrument will help the boy to achieve new progress”.

The boy’s parents think the same way. The boy’s father takes care of Artem’s musical education. He has some experience in this sphere and can play the piano. He understands that the right instrument plays a great role. Now Artem has old soviet violin, which he has been given in his music school. “If to compare new violin and the old, the difference is like between a bicycle and “Ferrari”, said with the smile Gregory Vasyuchkov.

Now Artem has a lot of work, because it takes some time to get used to new violin. “We wish Artem to find a common language with new instrument and believe that he will achieve new success”, said Marina Panfilova, the Deputy Director of the charity fund “Children of Russia”.
