The kindergarten №4 in Verkhnyaya Pyshma is unique. There were created special groups for children with visual impairments and children with special needs.
“Today, we have 184 children 3 to 7 years of age”, said Marina Dragan, the kindergarten supervisor. “Over half of the children are invalids and children with special needs”.
These children require special handling. Teaching and learning activities, games must be good for recovery and rehabilitation. So, there are 14 specialists such as special-needs experts, visual impairment specialists, logopedists and psychologists. According to management of the kindergarten, they needed special equipment for proper help. The charity fund “Children of Russia” solved this problem.
“Starting in 2010, the charity fund “Children of Russia” opened activity rooms for children in hospitals and centers of rehabilitation in different regions of our country. The management of kindergarten asked us for help and we responded”, said Marina Panfilova, the Deputy Director of the charity fund “Children of Russia”. “We accommodated all requests and created unique zones with advanced hardware”.
The rehabilitation block will be opened soon. Children will be able to use an interactive media tables, tactile panels and special simulators. There is a sensor zone and rest zone with dry basin and etc. There were bought different equipment and we believed that every part of it will help children.
