From today the bird stork, a symbol of family values and birth of infant’s life, is meeting newborn natives of Ural. The new sculpture is situated near the principal entrance to the Regional Perinatal Center of the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of Sverdlovsk region “Children’s Regional Clinical Hospital No.1”. This is a present of the Charitable Fund “Children of Russia” and UMMC for the Perinatal Center and all its patients.
Development of a sketch and creation of the composition have been carried out for two years. As the result, it was decided to perform it in the form of a wrought-iron bird which sits next to a bench with extended wings. The developers explained: they strove not just to decorate the territory of the Center, but to create a truly warm-hearted place with unique atmosphere.
«I hope that the commemorative photos taken near the sculpture will allow capturing an important moment for each family – their baby’s birth, — Julia Nutenko, the director of the Fund “Children of Russia”, told. – A variety of new family stories that have began here, in the Perinatal Center, makes the chronicle of life of this particular medical institution as well. I want to believe that with the advent of the stork-sculpture a new bright, happy and significant stage will begin for the Center”.
Even in the course of the solemn ceremony the winged symbol of happiness and considerate care has met the first newborns.
