16-year-old Timur Fakhrutdinov has already become a player who achieved the athletic heights unprecedented for the Ural chess. Two-time European champion, the winner of the world championship continues his tournament history.

Recently he, serious and reasonable beyond his years, the owner of the title “FIDE Master” and a grant-aided student of the Fund “Children of Russia”, has returned from the Russian Cup stage.

“My pupil has won first place and once again demonstrated that he is the most high-achieving player among the youths of his age in the country”, — Sergey Zhuravlev, Timur’s  coach, told.

According to the instructor, the trip to Samara, which became possible thanks to the support of the Fund, was an excellent preparation before the next European championship.
